On February 16 PRT-6 soldiers celebrated the 90th anniversary of Restoration of the State of Lithuania. On the same day rotation ceremony of Lithuanian and Danish military medics was held in the camp and donation of medication, gas heaters, and electricity generators was delivered for Chaghcharan hospital.

Klaipeda celebrate Restoration of Lithuania

Anniversary of Restoration of Lithuania’s Statehood was celebrated in Klaipeda Garrison on February 16. In the morning of February 15 political, historic and Naval Forces’ flags were raised in the Lithuanian Naval Force divisions, and distinguished soldiers were awarded.

16th February - Independence Day of Lithuania

16th of February is Independence Day of Lithuania, this year 90th anniversary of Lithuanian Independence Restoration will be marked. Many events will be organised together with the military of the country in Lithuanian cities and towns. Attendees will be able to see solemn line formations, commemorations, concerts of military bands, demonstration programmes prepared by soldiers, expositions of weapons as well as to try military porridge and tea. Foreign defence attachés accredited to Lithuania will also take part in commemoration events in Vilnius.

Ambassador of India visit National Defence Ministry

On February 15 Undersecretary of National Defence Ministry Renatas Norkus met with the Ambassador of India to Lithuania H.E. Chandra Mohan Bhandari. Officials discussed future prospects of cooperation of India and Lithuania in the field of defence, activity of the Lithuanian-led Ghowr Provincial Reconstruction Team in Afghanistan was introduced to the guest.
